Prime Minister Narendra Modi
on Monday launched a National Common Mobility Card (NCMC), which can be used to
make payments across public transport anywhere in the country, including Metro,
bus and suburban railways, for toll and parking, and for retail like any credit
or debit card.
The
card will function on the “One Nation One Card” model across the country,
according to officials from the Union ministry of urban affairs who have been
working on it since 2006, when it was envisaged as part of the National Urban
Transport Policy (NUTP).
Speaking at a public rally in
Ahmedabad, Modi also launched India’s first indigenously developed payment
ecosystem for transport, consisting of NCMC, an automatic fare-collection
system (AFC) called Sweekar, and a gate and card-reader system Swagat.
The three together will
enable the use of the national mobility card across the country without a
conflict with existing point-of-sale (PoS) machines, said an official from the
ministry who asked not to be named.
“This card runs on RuPay card
and it will eliminate all your travel related problems. In many times, we do
not have change to pay in cash while travelling in metro, bus or train, or for
toll and parking. To overcome this issue, an automatic fare collection system
was introduced.” PM Narendra Modi said
“Now, our dream of ‘one
nation one card’ has been realised. People can also withdraw money using this
common mobility card. This RuPay card can be used for travelling in metros in
any part of the country. In Simple terms, we have merged the RuPay card with the
mobility card” - PM Narendra Modi said
“It is a matter of pride that
this card, based on NCMC standards is compliant with the ‘Make in India’
initiative. The gate and reader prototype has been made by government owned
Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). Translating hon’ble PM’s vision of One Nation
One Card it will work seamlessly across Metro, Bus rapid transit (BRT), city
bus, suburban rail, parking, toll etc. All Debit/Credit Cards will be NCMC
compliant,” Durga Shanker Mishra, secretary, ministry of urban affairs said.

India has carried out surgical strikes on the lines of control after Pulwama attack. Indian Air Force used Mirage 2000 for carrying and dropping 1000 KG bombs across the bomb on terrorist camps.
An ANI report says “India has dropped 1000 KG bomb across border aligning with line of control to destroy terrorist camps. 12 Mirage 2000 jets took part in the action and completed the task.”
Indian government and the army was contemplating a line of action since the deadly attack that killed 44 soldiers. The entire country was in agony and anger and this is a result of the anger growing inside the government and the army.
After the suicidal bombing of Pulwama, the entire country stood together and asked for action across the border. While everyone supported the idea of full-fledged war, Government and Army were busy contemplating ideas that will do maximum damage and have the least casualty on our side.

Good news for the NPS (National Pension System) subscribers.

The PFRDA (Pension Fund Regulatory and Development
Authority) has recently changed the withdrawal norms for the NPS (National
Pension System). Keeping in view the possibility of sudden financial needs of
the subscribers, the requirement of minimum period under NPS for availing the
facility of partial withdrawal from the mandatory Tier-I account of the
subscriber has been reduced from 10 years to 3 years from the date of joining,
w.e.f. 10th August, 2017.
The minimum gap of 5 years between the two partial withdrawals
has also been removed w.e.f. 10th August, 2017. A subscriber is eligible for
three partial withdrawals during the period of subscription under NPS, each
withdrawal not exceeding 25% of the contributions made by the subscriber and
excluding contributions made by the employer. There is, however, no restriction
on withdrawals from the Tier-II account of the subscriber.
The extent and purpose for which partial withdrawals from the
Tier-I account under NPS are permissible are as under:
Purpose
Ø
For higher education and marriage of his or her children,
including a legally-adopted child.
Ø
For the purchase or construction of a residential house or flat
in his or her own name or in a joint name with his or her legally wedded
spouse. In case the subscriber already owns either individually or in the joint
name a residential house or flat, other than ancestral property, no withdrawal
under these regulations shall be permitted.
Ø For
treatment of specified illnesses: If the subscriber, his legally wedded spouse,
children, including a legally adopted child or dependent parents suffer from
any specified illness, which shall comprise of hospitalization and treatment in
respect of the following diseases:
(a) Cancer;
(b)
Kidney Failure (End Stage Renal Failure);
(c)
Primary Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension;
(d)
Multiple Sclerosis;
(e)
Major Organ Transplant
(f)
Coronary Artery Bypass Graft;
(g)
Aorta Graft Surgery;
(h)
Heart Valve Surgery;
(I)
Stroke;
(j)
Myocardial Infarction;
(k)
Coma;
(l)
Total blindness;
(m)
Paralysis;
(n)
Accident of serious/ life threatening nature.
(o)
Any other critical illness of a life threatening nature as stipulated in the
circulars, guidelines or notifications issued by the Authority from time to
time.
Ø
Towards meeting the expenses by subscriber for skill
development/ re-skilling or for any other self-development activities.
Ø
Towards meeting the expenses by subscriber for establishment of
own venture or any start-ups.
Ø
To meet medical & incidental expenses arranging out of
disability or incapacitation suffered.
Limits
The subscriber should have been in the NPS at least for a period
of 3 years from the date of his or her joining;
The
subscriber shall be permitted to withdraw accumulations not exceeding 25% of
the contributions made by him or her and standing to his or her credit in his
or her individual pension account, as on the date of application for
withdrawal.
Frequency
The
subscriber shall be allowed to make partial withdrawals for a maximum of 3
times during the entire tenure of subscription under the NPS. There is,
however, no minimum time gap now stipulated between two partial withdrawals.

CBSE Exam Date Sheet 2019 Class 10, Class 12

The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the date sheet for Class 10 and 12 exams 2019.
The CBSE Class 10 exams will begin from February 21 and Class 12 exams will be held from February 15 to April 3, 2019.
The exam will be conducted in the morning session, from 10.30 am to 1:30 pm, the answer books will be distributed at 10 am and question papers at 10:15 am.

The board has already released a list of vocational subjects, exams for which are scheduled to be conducted from February to March 2019. Apart from the 40 different vocational subjects, the board will conduct exams for Typography and Computer Applications (English), Web applications, Graphics, Office Communication, etc in February as these subjects have a larger practical component and shorter theory papers.
The board has also extended the passing criteria for Class 10 students. From the coming academic year 2019, the students need to get a minimum of 33 per cent marks in theory and practical combined to declare pass in the subject.
