Smartphones are a big deal these days. There are so many things you can do with your smartphone. However, they have got some down points too. The biggest of them are — running out of battery, fear of causing damage or not being able to take the best selfie.

1. Hide your Cash/Cards/ID’s in your phone case.

2. Take screenshots of travel directions and then turn off Mobile Data.
— Instead of looking through the travel directions and then closing the map, take a screenshot for future reference. If you are smart enough while capturing, a single screenshot will help you to reach your destination.
Not to forget:- Since you are somewhere out, turning off your mobile data will help you to save even more battery.
3. Switch your phone to “Airplane Mode,” to charge it faster.
Switching your phone to “Airplane Mode” reduces the unnecessary work of continuous signal search and thus allows your phone to charge faster. It’s great smartphone hack if you are looking for a quick way to fast charge. The Best Part? It works for all phones.
Bonus Tip:- To make your battery last long, leave the phone on airplane mode even after it fully charges. (Only if you aren’t expecting any calls.)
4. Shut down apps you don’t need.
— If you are an Android user, you must be aware that, there are a countless number of apps running in the background. Of course, these apps are sometimes useful, but in most cases, it is only latching your battery without offering any value. Keep a check on your background apps and shut down the ones who aren’t of your use (presently).
PS:- iPhone users need not be happy, the same happens with iPhone too and you’ve got to do the same thing.
5. Press and hold the shutter button to take continuous shots.
— Very few smartphone users are aware of the fact that they can capture multiple pictures at once. A nifty feature called “continuous shot” allows the user to capture up to 20 shot per second. (Depends on Phone)
Press and hold the shutter button, and you will be able to take rapid shots. After all, 20 images of your favorite DJ is much better than 1. Isn’t it one of the best smartphone hacks?
6. Use your phone’s front camera for softer pics, rear for detailed images.
The front camera of most smartphones features the “airbrush effect” which outputs softer pics. If you are a selfie addict, always try to use your phone’s front camera as it will provide a better image.
The rear camera offers a sharper and detailed image, and therefore, should be used to capture anything other than selfies.
7. Use volume keys as the Shutter, while taking pictures using a single hand.
— Using the default shutter button present on your smartphone’s screen isn’t a good option if you take pictures with a single hand. It will undoubtedly lead the photograph to appear “shaken,” as your hand will shake during the capture. In worst cases, you might even slip the phone from your hand. Using your phone’s volume keys as the shutter button will help you capture better pics.
8. Cover the microphone when filming a video to record clearer audio.
Covering the microphone will help reduce the ambient noise and thus helping you to capture sharp, clear and crisper sound. If you are thinking to skip this amazing smartphone hack, You will regret it later. (Probably, while watching your favorite recorded video)
9. Put your phone in a plastic sandwich bag if you are in a wet/muddy place to prevent it from being ruined.
— If you are on the seaside or somewhere else where the surroundings are not suitable for your smartphone, just put it in a plastic sandwich bag.

Most phones run on Li-ion batteries, and these batteries have a limited charge cycle after which they need to be replaced.
11. Don’t make calls when you are receiving weak signal strength.
— Making calls with poor signal strength does not only mean more call drops, but it also takes a serious toll on your phone’s battery life. The lower the strength, the more power your phone has to draw up to capture mobile signals.
If you are battery conscious, consider putting your phone in “flight mode” before entering a building with low signal strength. For making calls, you can consider going out to an open space.
12. If you are in a new place, take a picture of a landmark where you’ve parked your car.
We are forgetful, the overuse of Internet has done this to us.
If you are visiting a new place, just take a picture of the nearby landmark where you parked your car.
It will help you to find your car easily, even if there’s a lot of rush there.
